Diptyque Pink Box Set

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Diptyque is launching a limited-edition Pink Box Set of Three Mini Rose Candles. The pink box set is available exclusively at the Diptyque store in San Francisco. Aren't we lucky! I just love these candles! If only I had a Valentine to give them to me...

This year, the most romantic of all the Diptyque candles plays up the vintage touch with a rosebud motif. Inspired by Liberty fabrics, the design pays tribute to the Diptyque founders who originally created textiles for this historic London department store. Nestled in a pink box, the three fragrances include: Hawthorn Rose (Aubepine), Roses, and Geranium Rose. They can be burned together or separately to create a subtle, nuanced blend that celebrates the romantic flower. Each candle has a burn time of 30 hours, and the box set is available at the suggested retail price of $98.

Additionally, Diptyque has a single, limited-edition Pink ROSES candle available at the suggested retail price of $68 (burn time 60+ hours). Both a such beautiful gifts to give the one you love... or suggest to your honey that that is what you want. I think candles are a great gift because they last and last, especially these.

Michael Kors Lip Gloss and Rollerball Duo

I never thought I would be into a scent like Michael Kors. It is heady with white florals and would seem to be the type of scent that would go sour on me in no time. But I saw this adorable lip gloss/rollerball duo and I had to pick it up. For $22, you can try out the scent and have a great basic almost nude lip gloss to throw in your purse. To my surprise I rather enjoy the scent. It is a nice change from my usually bright, crispy, fruity scents. Definately romantic, great for a date or something. Though I have noticed a lot of people recognize the scent easily because it is so popular. Oh well, a small price to pay.

Notes include: Dewy Freesia, Tamarind, Chinese Osmanthus, Incense, Fresh Tuberose, White Wings Peony, Blue Orris, Arum Lilies, Cashmere Woods, Musk, Vetiver Haiti.

Bliss Peeling Groovy Facial Serum

Now I love me some AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) to get in and clean up all the dirt and dead skin on my face that creates nasty acne, but they can be irritating. The flaky mess post-pimple is almost as annoying as the pimple itself! Well Bliss has come to my rescue (and yours!) with their Peeling Groovy Facial Serum. Instead of harh AHAs, it uses dermotologist developed AFAs (filaggrin-based amino acid antioxidants) to exfoliate the skin. They have shown to be extremely non-irritating to all skin types and they actually attract moisture which helps support healthy skin fuction. So they help to brighten your skin, improve uneven skin tone, and reduce the size of pores. What's not to love?

I've been using Peeling Groovy for about a week, after I wash, and before I moisturize both morning and night. My skin looks great! I've only had one or two minor blenishes and they heal super fast. My skin looks clean and healthy. I'm definately adding peeling groovy to my everyday rutine and I think you should too!

DKNY Be Delicious Charmingly Delicious Eau de Toilette

I love a good fresh, clean, simple scent. DKNY's Be Delicious Charmingly Delicious Eau de Toilette Spray is just that. I put it on while I was staying at my friend's house and everyone was like, "ooo, what's that smell?", "You make the house smell fantastic!" What more can you ask for? It is simple in its notes (Washinton Apple and Water) and yet bold enough to evoke comments. I love that the bottle looks like a old timey apple juice jar! It a limited edition of the regular Be Delicious scent, with an American apple note added, and "enhanced with energetic solar freshness and dewy watery notes to create a scent full of summer brightness and fresh energy." Love it! I'll be wearing this all year round, though. I want to be light and fresh all the time.

Kill Dry Hands With L'Occitane Hand Cream Trio

I spent the three day weekend having the time of my life with 20 of my closest friends in a gorgeous rental house up in Sonoma county. It was flippin amazing. Beautiful weather the whole time and so much fun! After a long day of wine tasting, all we wanted to do was lay out on the deck and enjoy the hot tub. But after three days of this, my skin was not very happy with me! The tub dried me out so very much. So I was so glad I had picked up extra sets of L'Occitane Hand Cream Trios over the holidays. In fact, they are still on sale on their website and you might be able to find them in stores as well. The set contains rose, honey and lemon, and cherry blossom. I love the rose scented one, but they are all very nice. They go on smooth and my hands suck in the moisture from the shea butter so well. Seriously, I have one in every purse, one at my desk and one by my bed. So very necessary! And for $21 for 3, you should stock up too! Also, the body cream trio is great too, and also $21! At least this economy is helping my habits... eck!

T3 Featherweight Hair Dryer

I basically got one present for Christmas and that was a T3 Featherweight Hair Dryer. I was just fine with this because it is freakin' FANTASTIC. It dries my hair super quick (60% faster, according to T3... sounds about fair)! My ends don't look crazy fried, even though I am long past due for a cut. And I get lots of volume and bounce with minimal product. Yes, I know, $200 is a lot to spend on a hair dryer. But, if you buy it at a authorized retailer (like Sephora!), it come with a 4 year warrenty. So don't be fooled by bogus website deals, pay it all now, and it will even out buying shity $50 dryers for the next 4 years!

NARS Spring 2009 Collection

NARS has come up with some great new products to add to your spring looks this year. What better to offset the spring runway’s preponderance of exotic prints, slinky jumpsuits, and bold patterns crammed with oversize blooms, than a beauty look that is both strong and sophisticated.

“My inspiration for spring was a very sexy woman,” explains François Nars, Founder and Creative Director of NARS Cosmetics. same time.”

A striking matte brick-red eyeshadow, made infinitely more wearable in combination with a pearly white shadow or simple black liner, is tempered by a sweet, baby pink glossy lip; while eyes painted in pastel hues of dusty rose, sage and lilac are a fitting match for a statement-making berry lip. And everything should be paired with the only cheek for spring: sparkling and sculpted.Blush Duo in Hungry Heart - Star Product of the collection

François Nars has always considered blush a critical beauty building block. It’s a belief passed down from his mother, who refers to it as the most important part of her daily makeup ritual. With that in mind, Nars created the Blush Duo, made with smooth, superfine micronized powders for supreme blendability, and infused with radiance reflecting pigments. Plus a bit of glitter, or as Nars calls it, “jewelry for the face.” I love that!

The double compact opens to reveal one highlighting and one sculpting shade, allowing you to literally shape your desired look. Hungry Heart, which pairs a gold-flecked light pink with a shimmering golden ivory, can be used alone—the pink blended into the apples of the cheeks, and the ivory as a highlighter along the cheekbone—or atop a richer shade of NARS blush for a seriously sculpted look.

NEW!! NARS Duo Concealer - $30

Since the skin on your face is not created equal, one shade of concealer isn't enough. This new palette features two complementary shades that can be blended together or used individually. Creamy and crease-resistant, the Duo Concealer is lightweight but still able to provide smooth, opaque coverage to cover up skin redness, imperfections, and under-eye shadows.

Shades: Vanilla/Honey - Fair complexions, Custard/Ginger- Light to medium complexions, Praline/Toffee - Medium to dark complexions

NARS Duo Eyeshadow - $32, New Shades: Egea - Frosted sage and smoky lilac, Hula Hula - Strawberry with gold particles and hazelnut with gold glitter particles

NARS Single Eyeshadow - $22, New Shades: Baby Girl - Cotton candy with golden undertones and gold particles, Grenadines - Matte garnet, Night Sun - Bright marigold with gold particles

NARS Multiple Duo - $45, New Shade: Orgasm/South Beach - Peachy pink and apricot with shimmer

NARS Multiple Bronzer - $37, New Shade: Cap Vert - Medium to dark complexions with red undertones

NARS Lip Gloss - $24, New Shade: Sweet Revenge - Sheer pink grapefruit

NARS Lipstick - $24, New Shade: Shrinagar - Metallic raspberry

Jan Marini Age Intervention Peptide Extreme

If you have read my blog before, you would know how much I love Jan Marini's products. They are high quality, well-researched, and always make my skin very happy. So when I got the chance to try a new addition to their line, I jumped. Here is what their website says about it:

"Age Intervention Peptide Extreme is the most concentrated, proprietary peptide formulation ever and sets a new standard for extraordinary skin rejuvenation with four targeted peptide blends that work to rebuild and revitalize any skin type. Combined with potent antioxidants and anti-inflammatories, your skin will visibly respond on every measurable level."

I have been using this serum for a few weeks now and I like what I see. My skin is still relatively young, but I would like to see it stay that way. I think that using this product chalked up of antioxidants and such, I can do just that. Not to mention, it glides on easy and drys quick, so application is a breeze. There is none of that sticky-icky feeling you get with some serums and that I can get along with!

POP Beauty Cat Eyes Eyeliner

Ever wanted to mimic Bridget Bardot's sultry eye makeup? Or maybe get a little more dramatic with Amy Winehouse's over the top eyeliner? Well, POP Beauty has come out with a wide, slanted tip eyeliner that helps you do just that. Cat Eyes Eyeliner comes in three shades, Black Onyx, Black Dahlia (a Black Based Purple), and Black Olive (a Black Based Olive). It really makes winged eyeliner much easier to achieve. You still need a steady hand, but the slanted tip makes thickening the line gradually toward the edge of the eye a bit simpler. I tried the Black Dahlia, and the result was a hot look, with a little more softness than your tradition cat eye. The pigment is definately intense and lasted all day without smudging. Try one out yourself, if you're feeling cat-like.
