Diptyque Art of Body Care Line

If you are a fellow franco-phile and/or LOVE the Diptyque line of candles as much as I do, you will be thrilled at the latest news:

Diptyque is launching the “Art of Body Care” line – five new products with five new fragrances. This line is a departure from their classic home and eau de toilette offerings and marks a new direction for the company. This is truly a sensorial, olfactive journey that takes you around the Mediterranean Sea, from Florence to Byzantium, Aleppo to Alexandria, and on to Cordoba, Spain. These five destinations have inspired five original body care products, with five distinct characteristics and five captivating fragrances:

The products are designed for the well-being of both the body and soul, and the formulas do not contain any phthalates, parabens, synthetic coloring agents, TEA, DEA, glycols, silicones, PEG, aluminum or sulfates derived from petrochemicals.

Creamy Body Wash in Olive Flower and Bay Laurel; $46.00
Fresh Body Lotion in Orange Blossom; $58.00
Rich Body Butter in Turkish Rose; $90.00
Luxurious Hand Balm in Apricot; $38.00
Body & Bath Oil in Iris; $78.00

I'm very excited to go check it out at their store on Maiden Lane here in SF. Both there and store on Bleaker street in NYC will be giving out samples of the new body line with any purchase, so check them out! If you don't live in those areas, the body line will also be available at other Diptyque retail locations.

Diptyque Pink Box Set

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Diptyque is launching a limited-edition Pink Box Set of Three Mini Rose Candles. The pink box set is available exclusively at the Diptyque store in San Francisco. Aren't we lucky! I just love these candles! If only I had a Valentine to give them to me...

This year, the most romantic of all the Diptyque candles plays up the vintage touch with a rosebud motif. Inspired by Liberty fabrics, the design pays tribute to the Diptyque founders who originally created textiles for this historic London department store. Nestled in a pink box, the three fragrances include: Hawthorn Rose (Aubepine), Roses, and Geranium Rose. They can be burned together or separately to create a subtle, nuanced blend that celebrates the romantic flower. Each candle has a burn time of 30 hours, and the box set is available at the suggested retail price of $98.

Additionally, Diptyque has a single, limited-edition Pink ROSES candle available at the suggested retail price of $68 (burn time 60+ hours). Both a such beautiful gifts to give the one you love... or suggest to your honey that that is what you want. I think candles are a great gift because they last and last, especially these.

Gift Lovely!

Diptyque Red Tubereuse Candle

After a yummy Sunday meal of dim sum in Chinatown, I discovered a hidden gem down an alley known as Maiden Lane near Union Square in San Francisco. This little alley is where you can find luxury stores like YSL, Theory, Gucci, and other stores that tend to be nothing but trouble.

It also is home to the only Diptyque boutique on the west coast (the other US location is in Boston). I have to admit I had never heard of Diptyque Parfumes prior to walking in the adorable store, but now I am a fan! The scents are fantastic and their candles so addicting my friend's mother asked her to pick up two before she headed home to Michigan for the holidays. The special request was for the Tubereuse scented candle, right now available in this beautiful frosted red glass for the holidays. For $68 this candle better burn for days (approximately 50 hours), but the spicy-floral scent is quite nice.

Lucky for those of you not in San Francisco, Diptyque candles are available at lots of specialty boutiques throughout the country and online at eLuxury.com
